Enochian: The Mysterious System of Angelic Magic

Enochian magic is said to be one of the ancient and powerful system of ceremonial magic. Christian mythology says that God created the world with series of words and he written the words sacred tablet that later known as the Book of speech from the God. The book written in a divine language that believed to be Enochian. Dr. John Dee (1527-1609) was an occultist and scientific advisor to Queen Elizabeth. Dee had a keen interest in supernatural phenomenon and was looking to discover the spiritual knowledge that lost to mankind. On his journey he met Edward Kelly, Kelly was a scryer and spirit medium. Dee and Kelly worked with many Solomonic grimoires and finally these men established contact with Angels.

Dee and Kelly did many long series of magical events. More than hundreds of spirit communication were recorded in his journal. With the help of the angels Dee and Kelly note down all the details of the angelic language in their journals. Dee was the one who give it the name Enochian because he believed that this language is the one that used to communicate with the angels by the Biblical patriarch Enoch.

Enochian: The language of Angels

Enochian language contains 21 alphabets and the script is written from right to left. The Enochian language have two version. First version that is from the Dee’s journal and the second one, that is mostly used now is from the Kelly’s writings. One is slightly different from other. The first version contained in Dee’s “Five Book of Mysteries” and the second version contained in Kelly’s “Liber Loagaeth”.

Kelly’s writings contain angelic messages that received to Kelly when he made contact with angles. In his journal there is a letter table that have 49 by 49 letters. It is said to be the first ever corpus of text in Angelic language. There is another set of Enochian text contains 48 poetic verse that provide a basis for Enochian vocabulary. Dee called it in his manuscript as “Claves Angelica” or “Angelic Keys”.

The mastery of the 30 Enochian Aethyres

Exploring and gain knowledge from the 30 Aethyres is the best part of Enochian Magic. It is said that the nineteenth call in the Enochian magic is the key to access the Aethyres. Meditation and Scrying with the help of nineteenth call is the best way to access the Aethyres. It is said that Aleister Crowley is the first one who accessed the all 30 Aethyres. Each Aethyre said to be governed by 3 Angels expect Aethyre TEX, it has 4 governors.

From the 48 calls 30 calls can be created by the nineteenth call. Only the specific name of the Aethyres will changed 30 times. According to Dee’s journal, the angels said that the physical plane is surrounded with thirty Aethyres. In order to reach to the God the humans have to travel through this Aethyres.
